Chad Cardani-Trollinger

Visiting Professor


Chad received his BA in Mass Communication from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA. He then went on to receive his MS in Educational Leadership from Iowa State University in Ames, IA. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Education from Drake University, he has a 4.0 GPA and is anticipating graduation in 2019. 


He teaches LEAD 001, 050, 060, 110, 190, and 199 courses. On his research agenda, Chad is looking at outcomes of academic leadership programs and how the programs impact emotional intelligence, social change, alumni attitudes, and educational goals. He is also pursuing research in teaching and learning, college student development, and emotional development.

Chad’s teaching philosophy is centered around creating a safe, inclusive learning environment that allows students to be vulnerable and begin to explore what they do not yet understand. 

Chad’s Teaching Philosophy:

A fun fact about Chad is that he is a huge home theater buff, enjoys travel, home improvement, physical fitness and time with his husband and two dogs!
